Illustrations by John Picacio (and a very expensive book)

A few illustrations by John Picacio:

Cover for a limited edition of Dan Simmons's Drood (the best book I read last year.)

Cover to Michael Moorcock's The Metatemporal Detective.

Illustration for Stephen King's Salem's Lot.

That last illustration is part of Knowing Darkness: Artists Inspired by Stephen King. The deluxe edition measures 11 x 15 inches, has 448 pages and over 500 illustrations, including 30 double-page foldouts. And it's listed for just under $1,000 at Amazon.

Here's the cover and few interior pages:

And here's an unboxing video showing it off (the book is revealed 2:30 in):

The book and a few prints are also available here.
