Bioshock Infinite display at PAX

There's a very cool Bioshock Infinite photo opportunity at PAX. A forum poster explains:
So went too PAX East on Friday, here's the part of my experience as pertains with Bioshock Infinite and Irrational.

First, as soon as you walk in the door past the info desk you see the Bioshock Infinite booth, HIM is bursting through the wall with his claw out and you can take pictures in his claw with an actress playing Elizabeth, she would reach her hands out too like she was working her powers to save you from the claws from HIM. Her outfit looked pretty much spot on!! I think it was made by I.G Sarah and she did a great job!
You can read a bit more about the Bioshock Presentation here.

And speaking of PAX, check out this Minecraft cosplay.

The Master Violet Ray

At first I assumed that this discussion of the Master Violet Ray at Irrational Games must have been the start of an ARG for Bioshock Infinite:
Marketed in the early 20th century as a miracle device cure for just about any ailment, the Violet Ray is little more than a handle that powers a glass tube attachment filled with neon, argon, or helium. Touching a powered Violet Ray creates a tingling sensation whose intensity can be increased with a power dial.
But apparently it's a real device. There are several on sale at eBay.

Bioshock Splicer mask for sale

Bioshock Welder Splicer mask available for preorder at the BBTS ($45). It's listed as being available in November. Also, the BBTS is having a big $5 sale on action figures, including lots of Marvel Universe figures.

And they have the Tron action figures in stock. (But the action figures are pretty lackluster, and overpriced, and there's no Quorra or Siren.)

The cigar guy (and much more)

Can't say I noticed the cigar guy in this photo of Tiger Woods (until he was pointed out):

but I'm enjoying the meme:

And speaking of memes, sad Lego Keanu

Finally, check out the Lego Big Sister in the same photo:

10 minute Bioshock Infinite cinema

Fantastic ten minute-long Bioshock Infinite cinema. It gets more and more intense as it goes. (The look of the female companion is pretty lackluster, though.) Via.

New Bioshock Infinite art (wow)

The October issue of Game Informer features three double-sided covers showing off the characters of Bioshock Infinite:
Instead of using our traditional layout, we worked with artists at Irraional Games to produce covers that showcase what a video game magazine might have looked like on Columbia in the early 1900s. With illustrations inspired by period publications like The Saturday Evening Post, all three covers also feature unique advertisement for products a citizen of Columbia might need.
I think they're all by Robb Waters. You can see some rough versions here. Via.
